Our homes are our haven. A refuge. A place where we are meant to feel safe. Winston Churchill once said, “We shape our homes and then our homes shape us.” We believe that what is created within our homes, and within each of us, is the foundation to our wellbeing. It is what influences our lives. Our environment and what surrounds us is ultimately what heals us. Because this is so important to us, we have created a holistic real estate brokerage and design/lifestyle studio to help incorporate this philosophy into our clients’ homes and lives.

A note from the founder and principal broker of AMATA: Following a diagnosis of Non-Hodgkins follicular lymphoma in 2015, initial thoughts of “why is this happening to me” and years of pondering what I can do to heal myself and also help others heal, I had an idea of creating a holistic living community space (ultimately a retreat center) where people can relax in a healing environment, meditate and simply “be”. It would be a haven away from home and include a space for yoga, meditation and other classes and events that support healing and wellbeing.

Fast forward to 2022 and a new diagnosis of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. My Non-Hodgkins follicular lymphoma had transformed into a more aggressive form of lymphoma. I am happy to say that I am completely healed and cancer free. Having been through this experience, I am now feeling even more of a push to help others heal, making the holistic living community space and retreat center even more a part of my life’s purpose.
